is the home for

all the theatre, clowning, news and sundry fun activities of Stephen Wisker & The Such StuffEnsemble.

The SUCH STUFF STORIES on the homepage is the place to start and find both useful information and/or diverting links and stories. The site is designed equally with actors and audiences in mind. Check back for frequent updates, information, daftness and laughter and

email the webmaster if you fail to laugh on two successive visits to the site.

As a public service in these difficult times, on each page you'll find a "BE NOT AFEARD" tab. Inspired by Douglas Adam's inscription of "DON'T PANIC" on the back of his proto-internet, "The Hitchhikers Guide To The Galaxy", clicking the tab will immediately take you, if only briefly to stress relieving content of one form or another.

Stephen Wisker is a theatre director originally from London, England where he taught and directed widely.

He specializes in Shakespeare and Clowning but has a deep interest in comedy more generally and a passion

for musicals, new-writing and politics

as well as for storytelling and jokes.

It was working on a new play that more or less directly lead him to first come to New York when he directed two plays on Broadway in the "Brave New World Festival", New York Theater responds to 9/11 in September 2002.

A life-changing experience in many ways he determined to try life in a new city. Since then he has worked extensively in New York including a year teaching Shakespeare and directing at Atlantic Acting School / NYU Tisch.

He now lives with his wife and two dogs in Williamsburg, Brooklyn.
